How are things changing due to COVID-19?

In order to respond to the pandemic, we are considering aspects of both distribution and packaging, along with how we engage with the community and our donation process.
Donation pickup is offered contactless, and wearing masks.  We are organizing ways to engage with the community in highschool classrooms via Zoom or Google Meets.
In terms of packaging, we are working on including a fabric reusable mask in each bag, along with disposable masks.  In addition to this, we are increasing the amount of hand sanitizer distributed, and working on compiling a resource list of free COVID-19 testing sites within the city.
While distributing, we are expecting to wear masks while interacting with recipients, and wear disposable gloves during each interaction.

How can you help?

We are looking for donors who are interested in sewing or otherwise creating fabric reusable masks.  If you are interested, please let us know how we can work together to help keep this vulnerable population safe!
